Urso de Óculos is one year old!
In December we toasted our first year in business in Itacaré as the bookshop with the best (point of) view in town.
And we could not have got this far without our many wonderful independent-bookshop-fan friends. A huge thank you to everyone who wandered down the Orla to visit us in 2008, whether to browse, buy, swap, attend, or even feature in, an Urso de Óculos event.
Last year we had visitors from all over the planet, including Britain, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Korea, Japan, Finland, The United States, Romania, Argentina, Chile, and all over Brazil. This year we hope to welcome many more international book lovers, and fulfil all your holiday reading desires, wherever you’re from.
So, Thanks, Obrigada, Gracias and Tusen Tak to all our visitors. We hope you enjoy our brand new website and sincerely look forward to welcoming you to Itacaré again in 2009.
